  • Karen Dodd Love the pic!

  • Donna Johnson Do you remember any of the songs Gina used to play before the show began? My favorite was Corinna, Corinna. Chere Brown thanks for the memory.

  • Chere Brown I don't, Donna. I do remember the newsreels and cartoons before the movies.

  • Sharon Hall Provost-Brown Chere, my mom used to get her hair cut right next-door with Gracie O'Connor. I can't believe that I remembered that!!

  • Chere Brown I was wondering what that store was next door. There use to be beauty salons in both Crawford's Jeweler & the Emporium, where my mom got her hair done.

  • Emily McKay Douglas In this picture I believe it is my dad's first barber shop. Later Gracie O'Connor shop was there.

  • Kathleen Glass Mark and my first date in the fifth grade was in the theater. Wonderful memories

  • Linda L. Peterson Wright Boy, I had forgotten what that looked like. Lots of good memories of Yerington.

  • Peggy Freitas Purintun Loved that place so much. I used to walk to the movies from the mortuary and then go back after the movie to wait for my parents to get finished with their duties before they would take me home.

  • Chere Brown I used to call my mom's secretary at the hospital to make an appointment with my mom to get my allowance so I could go to the movies. It worked!

  • Emily McKay Douglas That is the shop my dad had when he shaved the gangster Baby Face Nelson. Gina kept us all in line.

  • Roxanne Whitacre So cool Chere.

  • Meredith Mayeroff I saw every movie they showed.

  • Meredith Mayeroff Oh, and I forgot to add that the price of a ticket was 25 cents and a bag of popcorn was a dime.

  • Linda Edwards THANKS for the memories!!!! love Y-TOWN! good place to grow up!

  • Dawnette Kelley My dad would run the projector on his days off. I would sit on the stairs to the projection room. I remember being so scared at the wizard of oz and Gina stayed with my older and me. Also the Praying Mantis at Steven Esteps birthday party! So scary for me:-)  We moved to Reno my sophomore year:-( no more theater with Gina

  • Liz Merrill Mason The one movie I remember most was taking a friend from Reno with me to see West Side Story. We left with dreams of being great dancers. The best I could do was talk my mom into letting me take ballroom dance from Mrs. Estep. Sigh.

  • Chere Brown I loved that movie!

  • Sandy Barnett Nice to read all the memories, made me wish I had grown up there!

  • Kathie Murray My brother Ron ran the projector also. Romeo and Juliet with the minutes counting down to show time!

  • Liz Merrill Mason Somewhere I have a pic taken from the drive in. My mom had this thing for Spencer Tracey and had taken us to see bad day at blackrock. It started thundering and the lightning looked like it was hitting McCloud Hill. We couldn't see the screen for the rain but the lightning was fabulous. I'll look and see if I can find it.

  • Robin Barnett I can't think of that theatre without thinking of Jeana Perry.

  • Dan Barnett Fell in love in that theatre a few times.
