Yerington Monday: Casino West
Ok, friends and Yeringtonites, I need your help with this post. I could not find much on the internet about Casino West or Larry Masini its former owner. I would be interested in knowing what buildings were replaced by this casino for one thing. I was disappointed to see that almost a quarter of our Main Street buildings were demolished to make room for this Casino. On the up side we gained a movie theater, bowling alley, pizza parlor and motel.
It would be interesting to know a little bit more about the Masini, Larry and Patricia. Our best bet of preserving our history may be an oral history from the many people that know things that are not on the internet or in books. Please don’t be shy...share what you know in the comment areas. We will all be grateful for any information tidbits you may have. Casino West is now Pioneer Crossing and the motel is called Yerington Inn.
