Yerington Monday: Masini Ranch

Yerington Monday:  Masini Ranch

This farm was owned by my grandfather John Barton McGee in the early 1930’s.  He ran the Yerington Diary from here.  He died in 1936 from pneumonia after tending to his turkeys during a bad storm.

Lawrence C Masini & Patricia M Masini founded this small animal farm in 1993 located between Yerington & Wabuska. It had 15 full time employees and generated an estimated $930,000 in annual revenue. Larry passed away in 2005.  Larry Masini was also the owner of the Golden West Casino which is now the Pioneer Crossing Casino in Yerington.

    1. No, the residence is privately owned by the Masini family. No weddings will be held here. Thank you for the kind words of our ranch and beautiful home that has been created over the years.

    2. Please let me know should you ever want to sell. I'm extremely interested. My family was in the oil business and a family home built in 1806 reminds me very much of your home. Please email me back or call 5018307128

  3. The Architecture on this house is amazing, the first time I saw it was when I was in training for truck driving. It amazed me I had to know it’s history. I passed by the house yesterday and noticed there was construction being done and wondered if anyone was still living in it. Are there plans to make it a venue or even allow tours?
